Humsafar Comic Review

If you’re Pakistani actually wait let me rephrase that if you’re a human being who knows a Pakistani Woman than you’ve probably heard about Humsafar.

I could write pages on how this show is planting the seed of fasaad(trouble) in perfectly normal and happy households and how it’s basically just a guide on how to break up pretty normal marriages up and the fact that most women like it just says a lot really. I’ll end the casual sexism now and just give you the review.

Enjoy.

A couple of things to remember this is a review that is suppose to be funny if you do not find it funny there is a little x on the right side of your webpage click on it. Also I’ll be honest I’ve only seen 15 minutes of this show and made the rest of the comic from “the word of the street.” If there are any urdu sayings you don’t understand leave a comment I’ll hopefully put up translation bits at the end.

Also Khirad is kind of hot. I approve.

Lastly ignore all grammar and spelling mistakes and click on the image if you have trouble reading the text.

  1. Nice work Hammy! Couldn’t you draw Fawad a little bit cuter? Mera dil rakhney ke liye..
Also, there should be a seperate post for the Khizr hate

  2. let me understand this. ashars mother wants khizar dude to flirt with khirad so that ashar divorces her. fine. whats sarah’s gain in all this? why doesn’t this guy get money in return and why sarah? and what the fuck is sarah gaining from this? and sarah is all eager to wait for him to come back from states then why the fuck did she want to break ashar’s marriage? and most importatnly… why the fuck this kolaveri di?

    • Sarah thinks she’ll get asher back… And he does, asher’s mother is paying for his visit to USA… and Sarah does not want khizar, she played around with him so that he can help them break their marriage..

  3. Dude Sara is not into Khizr! She’s a total bitch to him..she could spit on his face and he’d say “do it again” I haven’t seen the last three episodes but in just the last three episodes, Sara couldn’t have fallen in love with the guy she’s been spitting on since the beginning of the show!

  4. haha its pretty good, and thanks to you i now know the ending and can pester my parents and sisters about it. they follow it religiously. i just took a trip to kashmir and before we left Islamabad my parents called PC in muzaffarabad to find out if they get hum (or ary) so they wouldn’t miss the weeks episode. this god damn show has so many flaws its not even funny. i should post this on my moms fb wall. well done

  5. hahaah..Epic!
Loved ashar’s bio, and “sharm” part.. u’re hilarious.

and being a huge humsafar fan: note for u, khirad didnt flirt with khizar :(

    great job hamster! =D

  6. This was very good! But you should’ve mentioned above that u’re going to write down the ending as well. I could’ve stopped …:/
    Anyways Good work! :)
Can u make one about twilight???:P

  8. Lolllll good job!!! I guess I belong to the 0.1% population of females who really don’t care much about this drama….it took me only one episode to watch to realise how typical this would get…it was the 12th epi…..:P

  9. this is by far the best review ever =P describes everything perfectly =P i watched a few episodes, but sarah’s and ashar’s character started to get so annoying that i gave up on the show

  10. the story is predictable if u have read the novel DUHHH!!!! though i dont watch it but it must be awesum when evvery body is watching it :)

  11. it’s just like the indian dramas where the most non-sensical thing happens so easily. thank goodness i heard the story from a friend before watching it. saved the trouble. n u summed it up quite nicely. kudos! :D

  12. bohat ala saeiin bohat allaaa!!! seriously this humsafar thing is all so everywhere, i’ll get this printed and would distribute it in ladies :P and some “men” also

  14. LOL, good comic everrrr!
But for cartoons I could’ve suggested some more input!
(for next time I can offer my services) :D
    Rest *THUMBS UP* ;)

  15. This is the gayest thing I have ever read!!!!! Get a life you loser!!!.. And all the people who find this funny have no life to find a lame script like this hilarious !!! Attention whores

  16. Dude you’ve got talent!!!!
By the way i think this drama got so popular because its made in the typical Pakistani drama style and is not like an indian soap

  17. hahahahahahahahahaha! You have absolutely no idea how crazy i am about this show! I have my own status updates / reviews of this show after each episode on my FB account. I follow the show religiously (even though it’s totally lame at times) =D

The point being, This is a hilarious review, truly entertaining! The points regarding “LOGIC” missing from this show are spot on! =P You did miss some points and exaggerate in places but hell, it’s funny and that’s all that matters =D Great review, write more :)

p.s: good doodling – the best one is sara’s :)

  18. ROFL is this awesome or what! Now I know the whole ‘shtory’ without ever having to watch it … Its like Aina-Urdu-Guide Book ^_^

But much more entertaining… Great job!

  19. Sorry to burst your “I-am-so-funny” bubble but the heart defect Asher’s daughter is suffering from has got nothing to do with cousin marriages. It was because she was a premature baby and as a medical student I can confidently say that Khirad went into preterm labor clearly because of her poor nutrition and because of the stress she was taking. Anyhow, some other jokes WERE funny :) and I think if you spend the same time making such comic reviews on the “time-wasting” Star Plus shows, it’ll be funnier because Humsafar doesn’t look so much far to reality to me. Believe it or not I’ve seen something very similar happen to a relative of mine. Don’t think I am against your review. I did laugh out loud at some jokes. It was good work though :) Good to know everyone has a different way of seeing things.

    • I am not funny, so there is no bubble to begin with. I made it, if people think its funny good and if they don’t good. And its just a show, I would suggest finding something more important to worry about.

      • Who said I am worrying? I know it’s a show. I can see how you ignored the “biological defect” part and I think you also missed the part where I said good work and I did find it funny. That was the whole point of my comment. But you chose to see the negative part of it. No problem.

      • Haha it’s all right I have this thing of arguing for fun. :P I’m glad you liked it, I’m always joking take nothing I say seriously, no need for an apology Jazakh’Allah. :)

      • ok I am not the kind who likes to argue. I could have pointed out the mistake in a nicer way too. Sorry. Once again nice work :)

  20. Hahaha Spot On. But when you referred to each character by the name of the character and not the original name, it would have been better if Atiqa Odho here would have been referred to as ‘Farida Aunty.’ Oh yeah yeah…you have only watched 15 minutes…sahi sahi.
Well I actually watched the first episode and that was the last episode I watched but I love the OST which made me watch the first episode.

  21. lmaoff! except for the part whr khirad flirts with kihzer…you pretty much got it all right for word on the street.
    Epic ‘sharm’ :P lol!

  22. Sharam!!!! hahahhahahaha! epicness! The fan-following for this lame show reveals so much about our Pakistani qom which just cant get enough of indian dramas, and “Star plus” type Pakistani dramas!

  23. Drama is just un avoidable scene.. as eventually we all feel/get addicted/attached to khirad for no real reason..mahira khan is pretty. And here is the major issue..what about all the fucking crap that happened to khirad by asher and the the classy yet a beech aunty(asher’s mother) ….this is what happens in every drama..the woman has to suffer and after all sufferings and a millatary training kinda tough survival coarse..she survives and gets back all she had at the start..hatts off with my boots..Still mahira khan is the TRP..of the show..

  24. HAHAHA! ROFL, no, no, ROTFWSTWGOJOMNOMBTS–AL!!! xD

*Rolling On The Floor While Spilling The Whole Glass Of Juice Out My Nose Over My Brother’s T-Shirt–And Laughing?
Not to mention he slapped me out of my lunacy when I literally rolled on floor laughing!
I swore to myself never to see this show(due to the must-see maniacs of my class and “just because you’re a girl and you’ll be very inferior and unpopular if you DON’T see it” circumstances -_-) But I guess now I know the story in a better way to express to them… without even watching it.
